New year pictures

Some people write down their wishes on pieces of paper and burn them in the fireplace, because they believe that fire represents both life and death. On the other hand, some people believe that fire represents either good luck or bad luck, depending on how you look at it.
They like to make some noise during their parties to scare away evil spirits and welcome good spirits instead. It’s a way of asking the gods for protection and fortune for the whole year.

Be thankful for what you’ve got

What’s more, the gratitude list has a snowball effect: the more items you add, the better you’ll feel. What about all the things you aren’t thankful for?
Well, we all have them, but it’s most helpful to focus on what we do have. It’s like weight training: it’s easier to add weight when the bar only has ten pounds on it than when it has two hundred.
